Enlisting soon!

Enlistment is just soon...real soon...30 hours to be exact.

Excited? People would ask me this. I'm quite scared actually as i'm posted to commando camp instead of the usual Tekong Chalet. Also quite used to shouting at others rather than people shouting at me...haha...time to get my retribution back =P.

In my previous post, i said that you can send me off at pasir ris MRT...but i made changes as my parents will be driving me straight to camp. Therefore, if you would like to bid farewell to me, please let me know. You can either send me off at 8am sharp at my house @ Bedok Reservoir Road, Blk 137 or meet me on thur (11/06) night at vivo. Will be there from 1pm onwards. No need surprises, more importantly that it comes from the heart.

To all friends out there...i'll be away for at least 2 weeks...do keep in contact ya!!!
Wish me luck and do pray for my safety...take care guys!!!

~Back from Camping Spree~

Hi guys, been out camping lately after graduation. If you do not know, i'm a freelance camp instructor with EDU Outdoor. Ran a back to back level camp @ KOREF for 6 days straight (Manjusri Sec and Victoria Sch). Immediately back from the level camps, than is Job Week camp. 2 days break than Venture Training Camp (VTC). After VTC went back to KOREF for store packing and that is another 3 days 2 nights.

Back to Back MJR & VS Camp
For these 2 camps, i was appointed the camp 2nd IC which has higher responsibility. Therefor for MJR camp, i was the one who was giving instruction (more like a camp chief). Shouted a lot at them as they could not follow simple instructions. But the suey thing is that throughout their camp, it rained cats and dogs. I'm suppose to entertained them for like 3 hours and realise that i'm not so high like in the past anymore. Than on the last day of MJR camp, i was put in-charge of clearing the campsite as azad went back to S'pore to bring VS over. OMG...it's my 1st time handling such a important task. Therefore the night before, i have to do debriefing and also briefing for the next morning clearing up. End up MJR still left late due to some buggle who took the wrong camera. Grrrr...but it all turn out well.

Than VS camp...it was one of the most relax level camp so far. Just need to tell 1 person the instruction and the whole school will know. Efficient sia! But this made the instructor more slack. Nothing to do also must make urself look busy mahz. You are working here loh, not come here to do nothing and get paid. But again it turned out well.

When we reached back S'pore, EOA have a tradition where we go have lunch together. And Pizza Hut again!!! Shiok after 6days of organic rice! Yummy!

Job Week Camp
Then came job week camp. When i arrived at school, i only see black faces on everyone. I wonder why and was told what happened. Haix. Scouts being disrespecful again. Eddie and Nav gave them a good scolding so i decided not to scold them again but talked to them again after the NPCC campfire. Played Twister with the ventures at night to lighten up the atmosphere =)

Venture Training Camp
Was suppose to be a shiong camp but the number of participants on the first day made it so impossible. However they still learnt quite a lot. Too lazy to go into details so once again, let the picture do the talking.

KOREF Store Packing
This is the last camp where we did store packing. At the same time, CJC was camping there too. Din really got a chance to interact with them as was not their instructor. The store at KOREF was in a mess and there were many "eco system" in there. Fought with millipites, bees, rats, etc. LOL...was quite funny lahz.
Then lisa needed help for the campfire, and i did my classical Chek Chek Goleh. Din know it was so funny...haha...Lisa's face was all red lahz. And the CJC ppl like me =P.
Too bad din manage to go back with them as there was too many things that we need to pack and ended up in S'pore around 10pm.

Think the next camp that i'm gonna look forwawrd is army camp le...lol

Self Declare Graduation!!!

WOHOO!!! End of my poly life le. 3 years might seem long, but it have already pass. As what leon have said 3 years seems like just yesterday. The final exams as usual was not as tough as it seems. Hope that i'll be able to do well.

So now what? It is to wait for enlistment think around june. So many things have happen since i last blogged. But i'm not gonna say all those unhappy memories. Have been meeting up with poly friends and really spend time enjoying rather than meet up to do projects...haha

Had a gathering at one of our lecturer's house, Mr Sia, whose house is like a zoo which hamsters, rabbit, mouse, snake, start tortise, spiders.
Next was our class chalet which happen just this mon to wed. Really proud of my classmates who we survive these 3 years together. Though we always compete with each other on results, we manage to play hard too!

Gonna be away for camps the next whole week. So please remember to miss me!!!

Roses!

Using flowers, especially roses to convey messages dear to the heart has been a tradition established over several centuries. And as the complexity of the emotions increased, people sought ways to add new meanings to flowers. Some flowers are given in various combinations to depict totally different meanings. There are also meanings hidden in the number of roses exchanged between people. Some of these meanings have been derived from visual significance, while some have caught on from popular stories and myths.

While discovering the meanings in the number of roses, the first that comes into mind is the single rose. The single rose, whatever its color, depicts utmost devotion to a single person. "All my deepest affections are concentrated in you". Two roses, especially if they are red in color speak of two people who are deeply in love and together form their own happy little world. Three roses stand for the three words in "I Love You", and seek to convey this very simple yet powerful message.

Half a dozen roses speak of the need to be loved and cherished. When you need to assure someone that he or she is truly and deeply loved, send eleven roses. Thirteen roses indicate that there is a secret admirer waiting to be discovered. Twenty-four roses stand for the twenty-four hours of the day, and say that the loved one is thought of during every hour of the day.

Three dozen or thirty-six roses speak of a romantic attachment. Forty-four roses pledge a constant and an unchanging love. Fifty roses signify a love that has ripened well, and has never been regretted. A hundred roses signifies a happy union of two loving souls till death or till a hundred years. A hundred and eight roses is a marriage proposal in the language of flowers. So, the next time you get it, grab it.

Three hundred and sixty five roses denote every day of the year. They speak of a love that has remained constant and true throughout the year. One thousand and one roses speak of a faithful love that will live on forever.

These are just some of the many ways that roses have been used to convey messages of love, faith and attachment.

It is true that black is the color of death. But death does not always cause mourning. It can also be the beginning of new things, a journey into unexplored territory. The black rose, because it symbolizes death and passing away, also indicates a major change or upheaval in the future.
In that sense, the black rose also means the death of old habits and the old order. It inspires confidence and enthusiasm by signaling the birth of a new era of hope and joy.

This flower, tragic in its dark beauty is not always symbolic of unhappiness. The Irish have used the lyrics of "the Little Black rose" during their ongoing battle with the British. Similarly, many anarchist and antiauthoritarian groups have also adopted the black rose as a symbol of mutiny and strength. Therefore, the meaning of the black rose also includes courage and resistance.
